Thirty Short Stories

The Short story can match or mimic the snap shot, cartoon, dawdle, or philosophical aphorism. It is the art of enjoyable reduction for a more subtle effect. Maybe occasionally akin to miniature painting, or using plasticine, in as much as it is about adding and subtracting, sometimes allowing the writer and reader to quickly experiment in the various genres. They strive to entertain and allow us to judge, keep, or discard and venture to infect the mind with a certain twist to create laughter or tears, or maybe, but more rarely, glow with an insight into life.
