Nolasha Iyo Noocyadeeda

Abdirahman Ahmed Ali was born in 1970 in Garadag, in the Sanag region of Somaliland. He came to England via the UAE and the Philippines, settling in Birmingham in 1992. There, he started hanging out with the wrong people, which led him into many toxic situations. He developed self-defeating habits which led to stress and depression and dropping out of his studies. He fell into such a self-destructive spiral that he was barely alive. Fortunately, a loving and caring parent was there for him. Eventually, he went back to Somaliland and this trip to his motherland helped him put his life back together and heal the wounds from depression. Now, he composes poems aimed at inspiring young people toward the right path in life. He also wrote his first book, providing guidance, and inspirational messages on the themes of morality, healthy living, self-confidence, identity, friendship, spirituality, love for family, appreciation for natural beauty, and courage in the face of adversity.
