The Memoir Project

English language learners in third to fifth grades listened to, read, and categorized a wide variety of memoir literature. After immersion in literary memoir, the students were ready to attempt writing their own memoirs. None had any trouble coming up with an important life event to develop. The memoirs took the form of picture books, published in both analog and narrated digital formats. Ultimately they have been published as paperbacks.
