Extending the Umbraco 7 Backoffice

In this book, we’ll talk about extending the Umbraco back-office. The version of Umbraco we’ll be working with is Umbraco 7.13.2. We’ll see how to add a new section inside the back-office application. This section will allow us to manage orders for a fictitious online store. Along with the orders, we’ll also manage a list of products and their categories. While building the order management section you will: •Create a new application section. •Create the section tree used to navigate inside our section. •Create dashboards to show relevant order information. •Describe some of the most useful Umbraco directives and services. •Create the database tables, repositories and API controllers used to store and manipulate our data. •Implement the product, category and order management features.
