The Heart’s Journey

I would like to thank everyone who inspires me, motivates me, believes in me, supports me, and guides me in pursuing my dream of writing. The journey became easier because of your continuous support and encouragement. Thanks to Dr. Simplicio P. Alba (Sir Boyet) for opening the door to the path I always dreamed of, and that is writing. Since I wrote the unpublished book “Tag-araw,” Sir Boyet has always believed in my writing ability! I can never thank you enough for asking me to be part of our published collaborative poetry book in Filipino, “Tilamsik ng Diwa: 100 Tula para sa iyo.” I extend my thanks to Dr. Victoria SarmientoYoo and Fr. Jhun Bolo, OP, for taking their time to read my poems, always giving words of encouragement, and including me and my family in their prayers. I would also like to thank my friends and family (here and there) for their support and for sharing with me their joy and excitement along this journey. And of course, to my husband, Jan-Helge, for his love, care, patience, and support every single day. I am forever thankful to my beloved son, Jan Alexander, for gracing my life with so much love, happiness, purpose, and inspiration.
