Emma: Seventh Grade

Seventh grade is a tough year for twelve-year-old Emma Olsen. Living with her emotionally distant, overly critical mother and being the victim of endless bullying at school is enough of a challenge, but when Emma experiences a series of unlucky events in a matter of months, she is trapped in a downward spiral of severe depression and anxiety. To make matters worse, Emma is misunderstood by everyone around her, including her own mother who labels Emma as an attention-seeking, angsty teenager. Desperate to escape her hell on earth, Emma makes a drastic move, landing herself in the hospital, barely clinging to life. Will Emma learn to cope with her mental illness before it is too late?
