After writing papers for school and doing research I decided one day I was tired of not being able
to find what I needed. That’s when I decided to write my own book and include in it all the stuff
I couldn’t find it when writing papers for school. And that’s how it all began.
In the time it has taken me to edit this book for rerelease, I've been looking at bookstores and even bought a book that was so identical almost identical to my outline. Then I start thinking you know this subject has become so mainstream, so more widely spread out. Everyone has become so obsessed with the topic of true crime. It is literally everywhere from shows, to books, to podcasts. It has become a mainstream obsession for everyone.
Why is that, why has everyone become so obsessed with it? Some people will blame it on covid and everyone got bored in quarantine and started new “hobbies” got in there heads that oh they can solve a crime. I get that, I get that obsession. Everyone wanting to be the next great crime sleuth. But the truth is this was already on the rise before covid even hit.
So what caused it? That is the real question.
Are our lives boring? Do we need to escape our own reality, our own drama? Yes that is exactly it. We need something else to do. It is like a drug of sorts. You get sucked in and need more like a fix.
