Entering her junior year of college, Autumn Delgado is in complete control of her life. She is prospering academically while balancing a job and soccer, and she has a wonderful group of friends. But a few weeks into the school year, Autumn’s health begins to inexplicably decline. She starts experiencing a slew of odd symptoms, including a white spot in her vision, lapses of forgetfulness, and muscle spasms. Trapped in her own denial as her symptoms worsen, Autumn loses more and more of herself-- until she wakes up in the middle of the night and finds that she is completely paralyzed from the waist down. After months in medical limbo, Autumn finally receives a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis (MS), a neurological autoimmune disease. Despite her protests, Autumn must drop out of school and move back to her hometown to live with her divorced parents and younger brother, unable to drive, play soccer, or be with her friends. As Autumn and her family learn to navigate this new reality, their bonds, identities, and stability are split apart and bound back together.
