The narrative follows Prim’s desperate search for identity and love through a series of complex relationships and a harrowing descent into crime. He details the “Dungeon” of depression and a pivotal fraud conviction that left him facing ten years in prison. However, the story does not end in a cell; it ends in a sanctuary. “Toxic Village” is ultimately a testament to the power of the Ezer Kenegdo—the "helper suitable"—found in his wife, Jamila. It is a story of how a "Damascus light" moment and ten days of mercy transformed a broken man into a faithful father and husband. “I wrote this book because I realized that only a healed man can mourn the mistakes of his unhealed self,” says Prim. “I can’t rewrite the past, but I can outlive it. I can show my children a father who stands all the way up. A father whose presence isn’t negotiable.”.
