The story of a motherless youngster going to war in the Flying Fortress, decorated. College under G.I. Bill getting Aeronautical Engineering degree and several mechanics certificates and a pilot's licence. Employed at McDonnell Aircraft Company and becoming this countries first Manned Space contract price estimator with the Mercury Program and eventually the companies department head for contract pricing. Took early retirement to return to his love of designing and self building including complete homes and the 390th Memorial Museum in Tucson, AZ. This is his story.
