This ebook may not meet accessibility standards and may not be fully compatible with assistive technologies.
This New South Wales Cricketers Scoring Book is a copy of the original historic Aboriginal Eleven Cricketers Scoring Book used to record their matches played in Australia prior to departing for England. Most of the matches are played in Victoria and New South Wales prior to their departure to England. (Refer to Memoirs of an English Cricketer)
The Scoring Book belonged to my great grand father Charles Lawrence and has been handed down several generations within the Lawrence and Leech family.
The Book contains records of the matches played by the Aboriginal Eleven against local teams including the following: Melbourne, Geelong,
Collingwood, Bendigo, Ballarat, Albert Ground, Newcastle, Manly, Wollongong, Parramatta, Portland, Warranbool, West Maitland, Bathurst and Singleton.
We have attempted to include score sheets of all the matches played however we acknowledge it may not be exhaustive and we intend to produce additional editions as more information becomes available.
