Watershed

In the course of a summer cruise on the Kennet & Avon Canal, over the watershed between the Thames and the Bristol Avon, Alex Defaux finds that these are more than philosophical questions. Unwittingly, she finds herself dangerously caught up in the battle between environmental campaigners and big business. In the circumstances, it seems prudent to conceal the fact that her own work, as a biologist, involves animal experimentation.
