When young Peter runs away from home, he hopes to find an adventure. A ghoul in a graveyard befriends the boy, and the two travel to the land of the dead, where Peter battles with banshees, meets ghosts and three-legged monsters, and is pursued by his evil Great Uncle Frederic.
