SHELTER

The novel Shelter is loosely based on the lives of the survivors of Hurricane Dorian. Hurricane Dorian made history in August 2019 by taking the lives of many Bahamians and Haitian nationals, affecting the islands Grand Bahama and Abaco. Those whose lives were spared, were left with nothing and were moved into multiple government shelters in New Providence. The shelters housed more than 1500 people. Please note the characters and events have been exaggerated for entertainment purposes of the novel.
