A sonata for viola and piano in three interlinked movements, arranged from a 'cello sonata of the same name with a symbolic basis in the words from the end of 1 Corinthians 13: "These three remain: faith, hope, and love, these three, but the greatest of these is love."
It is entirely written in the composer's own rainbow mode - based approximately on the first seven distinct tones in the harmonic series as well as the additional two notes from the octatonic scale, i.e.: C, D, E, F#, G, A, Bb, Db, Eb - but each movement is in a different transposition.
This printed volume contains both the viola part, and the combined viola & piano score.
