Piano for PreK is an Orff-Schulwerk inspired approach to learning piano. Orff-Schulwerk is an educational philosophy that focuses on how children learn through play and exploration. The goal of this book is to get the preschool-aged piano beginner ready to read music on a 5 line staff by exploring different elements one line at a time. There are lots of opportunities for composition, movement, singing, vocal exploration, and listening through various developmentally-appropriate and joyful activities. Every student deserves the experience of a healthy, joyful, lifelong relationship with music.
