Conuncrum

Does a democracy have a right to defend itself from groups and individuals within that democracy that actively attempt to do away with that very same democracy? Can it do so by using anti-democratic weapons? Should it? But what it the people that comprise that democracy are persuaded to do away with democratic principles? This stageplay is set in Europe during the 1970s when many countries were faced with this conundrum.
