Against the backdrop of religious apostasy, moral corruption, political anarchy and impending sociopolitical collapse, which is made abundantly evident within the Preamble of this book, the text of the Revelation stands out as a warning and prediction of the ultimate outcome of mankind’s insane rebellion against God and his Christ as we rapidly approach the final days of this current age. The intended purpose of this book is to provide a careful but thorough commentary of the entire text of the Revelation in an effort to determine the precise meaning of every passage and verse as the Divine Author had intended. Thus, we have resolutely undertaken a literal chronological rendering of the document without excessive diversion from its inspired text. Every effort has been made to avoid sensationalism through fantasizing metaphorical text beyond the intent and purpose established by its Divine Author, while allowing its words to speak for themselves as written. That God’s Word is Truth is self-evident, but even the best expositors can err at times concerning an exact interpretation of it; for all men must depend upon the Holy Spirit within to guide them into all Truth – which so often conflicts with our fleshly thoughts and inclinations. So as not to be wrongfully held hostage by them, we have sought to reexamine certain established doctrines and traditions concerning the last days within separate supplementary articles located within an addendum. Although redemption is indeed sweet, God’s necessary judgment in defense of his love that inspired it is very bitter to contemplate – and the text of the Revelation is replete with God’s severe acts of judgment. Therefore, a diligent detailed study of the book of the Revelation is not for the fearful or the timid fainthearted Christian, nor can it be understood by the devout atheist, whom it renounces. But, for those Christian believers who are firmly anchored in the faith, it provides great comfort by assuring us that God will ultimately prevail against all iniquity, thus making possible the wonders of Heaven for his redeemed. We must be willing to accept both redemption and harsh judgment as righteous acts of God, for we are but his creatures that were made solely for his express purpose and pleasure to be utilized in accordance with His divine will.
