My Army Adventures

Every soldier has a story. This book is a collection of first-hand accounts that one soldier experienced during his military service, stationed in the South Pacific during World War II. Starting with his entry into the US Army, follow his adventures with the 182nd Regiment, Company A, 4th platoon and The Americal Division, (the only division with a name, rather that a number), which brought him to Guadalcanal, New Caledonia and the Fiji Islands. Awarded the Bronze Star and the Philippine Liberation Medal, his story presents a behind-the-scenes look at army life, from routine details to life-threatening patrols.
