aspeers is the first European graduate journal for American studies. It was launched in 2007, this is the second issue. It contains academic contributions by: Nathalie Aghoro ("Bilocated Identities: Taking the Fork in the Road in 'Against The Day'"); Caroline Erb ("Hardened Borders: A Case Study on Inefficient Solutions to the Immigration Problem in El Paso"); Klara-Stephanie Szlezák ("The Ellis Island Experience: Through the Eyes of Lewis Hine"). Art Contributions are by: Grit Alter, "jamie" gioe, Daniel Graziadei, Claudia Müller, Johannes Warda, and Nausica Irène Zaballos.
