Lake Offerings

Artist Audrey deChadenedes began creating weekly offerings of natural materials at San Francisco’s Lake Merced in 2018, and has been creating offerings at The National AIDS Memorial Grove Circle of Friends since September 2022. What began as memorials for her daughter have become neighborhood landmarks and sources of beauty and comfort for all who pass by. In this book, Audrey displays some of her favorite pieces, and shares sketches and details of her working process, along with helpful tips that you can use to create your own offerings. She believes that everyone can work with nature to create something beautiful; it is her hope that this book will inspire you and support you as you join her in filling the world with beauty.
