Stuff is a novel about a woman who hoards. She has buried herself and any hope of the life she wants behind the things that make her feel safe, that connect her to the past, and that hold her back. Finally, emerging from her self-built cocoon of labeled bins, she discovers the excitement of new relationships and the danger of vulnerability. However, she is heartened to learn that everyone has their own stuff, and that carrying baggage together is lighter.
