Lord Tony's Wife, by Baroness Orczy is a sequel book to the classic adventure tale, The Scarlet Pimpernel. It was first published in 1917 in the UK by Hodder and Stoughton and in the United States by the George H. Doohan Company. It was preceded by THE ELUSIVE PIMPERNEL. Marvel Comics' Stan Lee called the SCARLET PIMPERNEL the world's first superhero. A French-language version, translated and adapted by Françoise delle Donne, was published in 1954 under the title Le Rire du Mouron Rouge.
