DIALOGUE is an account of how the Nigerian military government of General Sanni Abacha was using what it claimed was its main weapon in good governance - Dialogue.
The situations, described in DIALOGUE, are similar, unfortunately, to those in most African countries south of the Sahara. Every effort, made by leaders of these countries, seems to be devoted to retaining and consolidating power and using such powers to seek out, create and eliminate perceived opponents and not as a means of improving the lives of their citizens or the economy of their countries.
The whole business of governance seems to be about inflated egos and spending from the public purse. The scramble, then, is not to have good governance but to join the party.
DIALOGUE was intended as a wake up call to Nigerians to open their eyes, observe what was happening around them and, perhaps, come to their senses.
