Ugly Hedgehog

Inspired by folklore and horror, Ugly Hedgehog tells a brief story of introspection and discovery over twenty-five prickly poems. The collection takes a darkly comic approach to explore themes of depression, neglect, dysmorphia, and all the other things your average hedgehog may experience while snuffling the undergrowth. Ugly Hedgehog draws from scary stories told around campfires, but also gives credit to the fire itself. The glowing togetherness of facing fearful tales with those you love, and how the right people at the right time can chase the monsters away.
