For Africa to become a First World continent, it will take a deliberate effort and visionary leadership. Every developed nation and continent came from a humble beginning. Driving Africa from a Third World continent to a First World will take vision, hard work and working on the internal values, mindsets and virtues of the citizens. Africa is regarded as a Third World because the countries in Africa are either developing or still underdeveloped.
Developing or undeveloped nations are called Third World, while nations with strong economic strength are called First World. The greatest wealth in a nation or continent is the citizens. And when there are systems for developing these citizens, they become assets which in turn develops the continent. Nations are developed when their citizens accept responsibility for the future of that nation and humbly implement the principles that make a nation great.
The principles of life work universally when it is received and applied. Africans have blamed the leadership of the continent, but that is not the reason for the underdevelopment in the continent. Developed nations are built on systems and structures. Africa has no structure, hence, the reason for her underdevelopment. Systems are stronger than leaders; they ensure the effective function of a thing. When Africa depends on foreign aid, her dignity will be eroded. However, when Africans accept responsibility for the future of their continent, change is inevitable.
Developed people make developed nations. Undeveloped people make underdeveloped nations. Corrupt people make corrupt nations. It is a transformed people that can change a nation. Any change on the outside without a change on the inside first will become a temporary change. The greatest asset of Africa is the development of her citizens with strong values, virtues, and morals. Prayer alone cannot transform Africa; it is the action we take after prayers that can transform Africa. It is what we preach, the systems we develop and the quality of solution providers we produce that will develop Africa.
The poverty of most religious nations in Africa has its source in the Church. The Church raises spiritual people who pray for a breakthrough while neglecting principles and laws that bring results. God does miracles, but He doesn’t want our lives to depend on it. He wants us to live according to the principles of His Word.
