Those Wilson Kids

Those Wilson Kids

ByBeth Haney

This book traces the ancestry William Wilson and Rebecca Baker, from Gallia and Lawrence counties, Ohio. It's done in narrative style with text, photos, family group sheets, and supporting documents. On the Wilson side, the book presents information on the history of Samuel Wilson and both of his wives, Lucinda Coleman and Lucy Corn, and their parents, Scott Wilson and Margaret Moore, William Coleman and Mahala Spear, and Peter Corn and Rebecca Massie. Rebecca Edna Baker is traced through her descendancy from Henry Arnot and Frederick Baker, both from Monroe County, Virginia, and from George Corn and Jeptha Massey, both of whom moved to Jackson County, Ohio, from Virginia, in the early 1800s. The book also contains material of an historical nature, which provides an interesting look at the experiences and lifestyle of these early Ohio residents. A number of photographs are sprinkled throughout the book, most of which date back to the early 1900s.
