Above The best

The Vietnam War is often called the Helicopter War because helicopters played such an important role during the conflict. These aircraft were flown by highly trained professionals under very difficult conditions. Many pilots and crewmen supported their brothers who were fighting on the ground. U.S. Army aviators provided transportation to and from battle zones, re-supplied troops, provided suppressing fire during engagements, and evacuated wounded warriors. Many aviators died while flying above the best soldiers in the world and every pilot who survived his service in Vietnam has his own memories. This book tells the story of one of those aviators.
