“Going for Broke on Jesus” is not a religious story in as much as stained glass windows, high church and ceremony are concerned. I was never in a church before I became a Christian except to get married and even then I was drunk. Jesus was nothing more than a name in the history books.
I had dragged my wife and kids through hell for years and deserved nothing; every minute of my day would be spent seeing how much booze I could get down me and at the expense of my family ofcourse. I was totally convinced that our future as a family was doomed...
I pray the book will challenge those who don’t know Jesus as their Saviour and encourage those who do. The book is not an argument for or against drinking, it is the true moving story of how a childlike faith in Jesus restored a broken home and turned beer bottles into furniture.
