It's the late 1940's and almost a year has passed since Detective Shawn McCormick, with the help of Maxine O'Connor and Police Chief Clifford, foiled the plans of the infamous Mr. Smith and ‘The Dark Circle' in their attempt to capitalize on the ancient and dangerous formulas written in the pages of: The Book.
