This doctoral dissertation (Purdue, 1977) is a study of America's most obscure military unit, the 30,000-man police force that protected the U.S. Zone in occupied Germany after World War II.
Also included are three seminar papers on unrelated topics: the British blockade of Brest in 1804-05; the German contribution to the freedom of Latvia, 1919; and German military intelligence on the Eastern Front before Stalingrad, Operation Citadel (Kursk), and the Soviet offensive of June 1944.
