About Brian Spellman

A former Indiana U. (Mark Spitz's alma mater) US Open qualifying swimmer from 1977, in 1986 at 26 Brian left Attleboro, MA for Los Angeles. While professional aspirations foundered, creative ones did not. He cartoons and writes dour witticisms. His disdain for festive advice givers offers pessimistic readers laughter amid their travails. Brian's work seeks identification with like minded gadflies with histories of substance abuse, support groups or psych ward travesty. He relays across, not down to interested readers.
