I Am Risen!

Christianity has been dominated by the sign of the cross for centuries. But is the crucifixion really the core of the Gospel? A few scriptures tend to point in that direction. Paul was “preaching Christ only and him crucified”. He told people, that the only thing he boasts is “the cross of Jesus Christ”, and he declares boldly, that God has “chosen the message of the cross – which is foolishness to the world – to destroy the wisdom of this world”. However, if we study the sermons of the apostles in the Book of Acts, we find another central message, that even seems to overrule the message of the cross. It is the message of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. If we do not have a correct understanding and view of the resurrection of Christ and our inclusion in it, we will live a Christian life, which is below the level God has intended it to be. We lack power, joy and the fullness of the Holy Spirit.
