MOWENNA is the story of two women whose lives are connected, converging through lust and violence to complete a conception begun three hundred years before at a time when England was torn apart by the ravages of civil war.
Morwenna, expecting her first child, finds her simple farm life at Pengelly Farm is torn apart when she and her family are caught up in the horror of battle at nearby Stamford Hill, with tragic results for all.
Three hundred years later Jennifer Chase, a dark and pretty American and her English husband John purchase Pengelly Farm. Although Jennifer has a strange feeling of belonging, she has no concept of the dormant emotions locked within the walls of this ancient house or indeed the power that they have to affect her life and she discovers that for happiness one must always pay a price.
