This book contains two stories, both of which were originally published by Towpath Community Press of wigan in Lancashire, England.
The first, Autumn Sunshine, is a virtual history of the twentieth centaur as seen through the eyes of ninety-year-old George Blakely, a long-time resident in a care home for the elderly. He tells it to Karen, a volunteer care worker, leading her through the trials and tribulations of the Blakely clan as they struggle to come to terms with two world wars, as well as several additions to the family.
The second book, No Child Of Mine, tells of the growing pains of twenty one-year-old Ron Peters. The book opens on the day Ron finishes his apprenticeship and begins life as a fully-fledged electrician.
After several false starts, Ron finally meets Shirley, the girl he wants to spend the rest of his life with. But, just as they are about to announce their engagement, a former girlfriend informs Ron that she is pregnant; which is when the trouble starts.
