Billionaire explorer Arthur Finch invites six guests aboard the Antarctic expedition ship Aurora to reveal a discovery tied to the legendary Erebus Expedition of 1912. Before he can reveal the truth, an apparent murder occurs. As the ship becomes trapped among Antarctic storms, secrets emerge involving hidden bunkers, stolen documents, family legacies, and a century-old conspiracy. Suspicions shift repeatedly among Sophia Winters, Rachel Kane, Leo Mercer, and Captain Victor Hale. A shocking twist reveals Arthur secretly staged his own death to continue investigating in secret. Another twist exposes Hale as a key figure in a vast corruption network. In the final revelation, however, Leo Mercer is unmasked as Nate Brooks's murderer. Though he helped expose the conspiracy, he killed to protect his family's obsession with the lost Erebus records. The novel ends with the conspiracy destroyed, the guilty arrested, and the truth finally brought to light.
