Memories of my joys and sorrows will never die for me. This book was exceedingly difficult to write, while this life has been difficult to live.
I was the youngest of six children. The oldest boy was fourteen year old. My grandparents had all passed away except a grandfather. We had to live in different foster homes. After about five and a half years, my oldest brother, Hollan- age 19, got us all back together. He worked and sent us fine children to school.
About three years later, Hollan was drafted in the army in World War II. My next oldest brother, Albert, then became our guardian. We all lived together until Hollan was wounded in action, was discharged from the army, and soon returned home.
Come with me now into the world of “My Joys and Sorrows”.
