Two very small baby elephants have been rescued. They are not even weaned.
They have been in a noisy truck for hours.
Can they survive without their herd?
They are wide-eyed, wild and terrified.
Slowly, gently and patiently Cathy and Simon coax the baby elephants to have a taste of milky porridge. The male comes forward, the touch of his trunk a whisper on Cathy's hand; the little female is much more wary.
They have wounds which must be treated if they are to survive.
Will these little orphaned elephants, Rundi and Muku, ever learn to trust us? Can we save them?
This is a heart warming story of two elephants that changed the lives of everyone involved in their care; gentle giants in the heart of the city. A story of love and laughter, escapes and adventures. If you love elephants this book is for you.
