Neither is the afterlife.
Cassie is seventeen years old and too young to have died. After missing her initial chance at Heaven, she decides she'd rather go on the long and arduous journey to reach Heaven again rather than stay in the terrible land of Eschaton. However, this is much easier said than done, and there is a world of obstacles in her way before she can reach her rightful place in the afterlife.
