The world will have more epidemics, yes, even another pandemic. The lessons from the COVD-19 experience should help. What are those lessons, and how do we integrate them into our understanding? The issue for medical personnel is quite challenging; Thankfully, the tools at our disposal for learning, for analyzing and predicting have dramatically improved—how do these capabilities become known, used, and valued? Large databases, we now know, can reveal much information hitherto ‘hidden’—but only if we know and utilize the tools to interrogate them. Key tools are shown herein, along with a novel Virtual Health Observatory.
