Jesus told His disciples to “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28: 19-20) He is telling us to do the same. But what does it mean? The bigger question is how do we do that? What do we say?
One suggested way is what has become known as the Roman Way. Using the words of the Apostle Paul in his letter to the Romans we are provided with a map to teach others about the path to salvation and being freed from our sin.
1. Romans 3:11-13: “None is righteous, no, not one, no one understands;
no one seeks for God, .all have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.”
2. Romans 3:23: “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
3. Romans 10:8-10 “But what does it say? ‘The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart’ (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”
