This book was basically written with the implicit intention, of trying to educate my own children and any other young person., to understand, and to cultivate an interest in finance, and to ultimately take control of their own personal financial affairs, and to help them to realise that money doesn't grow on trees, it has to be worked for, worked at, managed and looked after properly to maximize its benefits for all. It has been compiled from many articles and books on tax, and investment matters, and from my own thoughts, after a lifetime of building a successful business, and in the process trying my best to beat the system. I have also been influenced, and sometimes corrupted by my experiences with the workings of politicians, the professional classes, and in particular, solicitors, and bureaucrats. Who I repeat many times, have deliberately made life far more complicated for ordinary people than it ever needed to be. This book is just my way of fighting back,
