Cheney Bradshaw Donahue was born to Martin and Gertrude Bradshaw on their farm near Rome Georgia. Cheney Bradshaw Donahue knew and loved all the farm animals and this affection has carried over into her writings. Along with her younger brother and sister, she rode horseback, raised rabbits and ducks as pets, and did all the other things that are so much apart of a farm child’s life.
