Sango no Hana

In the traditional tuning, a single F note, which is not found in classical tuning, was incorporated. This piece depicts the scene of light reaching the underwater coral, swaying with the waves. To express the waves of the sea, flowing harmonies and tremolos from low to high notes are repeated, utilizing the thumb and middle finger. The piece incorporates intricate techniques throughout, showcasing the elegance of the koto’s sound.
