Much has been written about the beginning of the Bible, ranging from mystical manuals and psychological stories to exaggerated works that give too literal an interpretation. In between there is a smorgasbord of all kinds of explanations, sermons, requirements and even demagoguery and forms of brainwashing. The Bible is rich in literary genres. It is not only historical, but also prophetic. It can be poetic and also literal. It is full of advice. In this book I venture, as honestly as I can, to do justice to what the Lord God has meant for us to know. However the Bible is not a scientific study book. Creation teaches us science. I hope and pray that the reader feels spoken to and also in his or her case, may learn from the Word of God for one's life in all honesty.
