"I DO SO SOLEMNLY KILL" begins with the story of Katherine, a young woman rescued from a tragic beginning by a loving uncle. Following her dreams, she embarks upon a career that takes her far away from her simple country upbringing. Settling into her life and making new friends, she meets a young district attorney named Phillip. What she believes is the man of her dreams actually harbors a dark, sinister secret life. As she works to fit a relationship into her life, he struggles to conceal his activities from her while working to possess her. Phillip sets in motion events that threaten Katherine's relationships with her friends and her dear uncle, going as far as it takes to remove them from her live. The tension in the story culminates in a final conflict where all is revealed and Katherine finds her own life in danger.
