Next to the 17 UN sustainability goals, urban-resilience including the threat of re-occurring pandemics gain more and more importance. The EU commission has launched the biggest funding programme in history. NextGenerationEU aims to boost the transition into a green and digital future. The equation digital+green=smart positively simplifies the objectives of the 17 UN SDGs, which are lacking of measurable success indicators.
