An Invisible Illness

When Laura Turnbull suffers from persistent cramp, she has no idea how serious it will get until she loses first her partner, then her career and her home. She needs an urgent diagnosis but the NHS, when first consulted, seem unable to help. Only through not giving up, does she eventually get a diagnosis which involves a life-threatening operation. If unsuccessful, it could lead to paralysis but there is no choice, failure to act could result in much more serious consequences.
