After studying the horrid wisdom of <I>The Brutal Kiss of the Corpse</i> and <I>The Path of the Enlightened Devils</i>, Tzu Lung is brought into the center of earthly defilement and horror to face the greatest of the deathless lords of the world. <p> This 18,000 word novella, complete to itself, is part of a cycle started with "Sweet as Blood, Biting as a Sword and followed by "Cult of the River Gods", which you can download free, then by "Pact of the River Gods". It is the last of the Tzu Lung Stories, so far. As an author, I attempt to write characters caught up in worlds of mystery and horror, keeping an eye to verismilitude and psychological depth. I try to avoid most of the tedious cliches of fantasy fiction, writing for adults, mixing exoticism with gripping characterization and strong plots. My influences in fiction include H. P. Lovecraft, Robert Howard, George R. R. Martin, Roger Zelazny and Michael Moorcook.
