In the not-too-distant future, humans are living among other dominant species. A variety that take the shape of animals that can walk on two feet and communicate as equals now roam the Earth, struggling to coexist among their own creation. A scapegoat. One which will divide the public for decades to come. Though some progress had been made after Minnesota elected its first biomorphic governor, an explosion at the historic O'Hare airport casts an air of doubt fills the streets of Saint Paul. Demons of the past will rise, all that had been built is now on the brink of being lost. After what was supposed to be a one-night stand, Dartsy Jane and Jeremy Sly Foxx try to form a relationship. Their efforts get thwarted swiftly as they become ensnared in turmoil they were hoping to cast aside.
